 1. Eat a variety of foods.

2. Base your meals on starchy carbohydrates.

3. Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables.

4. Eat more fish, including a portion of oily fish.

5. Cut down on saturated fat and sugar.

6. Try to eat less salt – no more than 6g a day for adults.

7. Get active and try to be a healthy weight.

8. Don’t skip breakfast.

9. Drink plenty of fluids.

10. Be aware of food safety.
